Dishfull Thinking - Comics by Matthew McGuigan

Late comic day!  Just so you know: I have no idea where this hat came from.  But hey it's here. 

I've been told (by many people) that making a list is a great way to tackle projects that seem overwhelming.  This is good advice!  I love lists.

I love choosing the medium on which a list will be made, and I love choosing the implements with which I will produce the list:

will it be dry erase markers on whiteboard?
multi-coloured sharpy on bristol board?
Fountain pen in a dedicated "To-do" Moleskine notebook?
The darkspeak of Mordor on a Ring of Power?

SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!

THEN:  How shall the list be formatted? Bullet points? Flowchart? Cinquain or haiku?

What about the actual tasks?  How specific am I going to be in describing them?  Will I need a MAP?  OH GOD YES LET'S MAKE A MAP.

And so forth.

Naturally by the time I have made all the requisite decisions like these I have expended all my energy for the day and have to leave the actual "doing" of the "to-do" to a later date.  That is to say it never gets done because I am too busy fussing over the list.
