Dishfull Thinking - Comics by Matthew McGuigan

Hello everyone!  I will be taking a short break from the comic until August 15 as I will be performing as a guest artist at the Mountainview International Festival of Song and Chamber Music all week.  I'm very excited to be on the same bill as a host of truly awesome musicians, and if you're in Calgary this coming week I strongly recommend you come down and check it out (because it will be so good, you guys)!  Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students/seniors.  For more info, click on the link for the brochure here.

In case you're curious what/when I will be playing, here's a quick list of which concerts I'm a part of and the pieces I will be playing in them:

Tuesday August 9th: Trio for flute, cello and piano by Carl Maria von Weber
Wednesday August 10th: Sonata for flute and piano by Phillipe Gaubert, and Prelude, Recitatif et Variations by Maurice Duruflé
Thursday August 11th: Three Japanese Lyrics by Stravinsky
Sunday August 14th: Le Merle Noir by Messiaen, and Trois poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé by Ravel.

I'm just a small part of each concert, so there are a ton of other great pieces being performed each night throughout the week.
